October is a busy month in Rome. Here are a few family friendly events to enjoy.
October 22 - Peach State Marching Festival is held at Barron Stadium. The annual event draws bands from Georgia, Alabama & Tennessee. Bands typically begin around noon and continue through the evening. Come out and see the bands. Admission is $7, children under the age of 6 are free!! Get your hand stamped, go to Chiaha, then come back for more bands!
October 22 - 23 - Chiaha Harvest Fair at Ridge Ferry Park. You can browse the vendors, buy unique gifts, enjoy delicious foods, and hear some good music in a family atmosphere. Chiaha is a part of Heritage Holidays.
Storytime has resumed at the Rome Floyd Library. Join Ms. Barbara & Ms. Jeanie for stories, songs, puppets and more. Storytime meets every Tuesday at 10 or 11 a.m. This is the best FREE 30 minutes in town. Don't forget to check out some books or videos before you leave the library.
